	Tu 24-Dec-2002	Christmas Eve: On the way from Vancouver to Amsterdam with KLM flight 682 (Boeing 767-300). We left Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at 18.30 (local time).
	We 25-Dec-2002 02:38	Apparently not a lot of people fly on Christmas Eve as there were only 36 (!) people in the plane, one of which was flying business class. There was plenty of room to stretch and the cabin crew has basically 'nothing to do'.
	We 25-Dec-2002 03.29	Ton chatted with the cabin crew about living and working in Vancouver. Flight attendant Ingrid and Ton were both wearing their Santa hats and spent some time chatting about tri-band cell phones and Ton's love trip to Sjoukje in Holland. Pretty soon the whole crew was aware of Ton's story. One hour before landing in Amsterdam Ton received a bottle of champagne to share with Sjoukje in Holland. Thanks crew, that was a really nice surprise! Picture: Ingrid just handed Ton the bottle of champagne. The bottle definitely contributed to a very nice and lovely time with Sjoukje.
	We 25-Dec-2002 03.30	KLM flight attendant Ingrid and Ton wearing their Santa hats and showing the bottle of champagne Sjoukje and Ton later shared during their time together in Holland. After landing there were almost no people from customs available and the airport in Amsterdam looked pretty deserted. Ton was first at the conveyer belt system to wait for his suit cases and there were absolutely no other people waiting. Sjoukje waited outside with 3 other people (!). At first she didn't recognize Ton with his Santa hat ...
	Tu 31-Jan-2002	New Year's Eve at "De Bijenkorf" in Amsterdam with lots of typical Dutch "oliebollen" displayed right at the entrance. Oliebollen are a typical Dutch New Year's Eve traditional snack.

	Mo 06-Jan-2003	Dinner at the vacation house on "Vlieland". We just made it before 5 PM to do some grocery shopping at the local supermarket. The house was called "Seepynck" (Lutinelaan 33a). Sjoukje had arranged this until Friday. The small house is suitable for max. 3 people and has 2 floors.

	Tu 07-Jan-2003	Ton in the "Dorpstraat" of Oost-Vlieland (the village). Since we were there at very low season there we almost no other tourists on the island. Even the merchants were all on vacation and had left the island. Lots of restaurants and stores were closed.

	We 08-Jan-2003	Sjoukje in on of the phone booths of Vlieland. Not all of them were in good shape. Some didn't accept our calling cards, because it was either to cold or the sliding slot was congested with paper.
