information) Between 1978 and 1990 Ton was a disc-jockey is his own home town Oldenzaal and a few cities in the region. The was almost a 1 year break in 1989. Ton was also a very active member at the local radio station in Oldenzaal between 1980 and 1995 (when he moved to Canada) as a radio host for several programs. He was also the head program leader for a few years. Ton was also the director of the first local cable TV show in Oldenzaal (carnaval) and did a national radio show during carnaval 1982 for Radio Veronica on Radio 1. A few members of this show became radio or TV professionals (Peter Bussmann - Radio Oost, Maurice Velthuis - Radio Oost en Frank in 't Veld - national radio and TV in Holland). Ton interviewed numerous national artist for the station as well as international artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Level 42 and the late Divine. Some of the national starts he interviewed were André Hazes, Frank & Mirella, The Dolly Dots, Gerald Vanenburg, Lee Towers, Drukwerk, Margriet Eshuys, Willem Duyn, etc.
